Biography
Over the past few years, I have dedicated myself to researches on political theory and Brazilian political thought. Among the topics investigated, I have focused my efforts on understanding political phenomena such as populism, authoritarianism, ideology, discourse, among others. The research I am currently developing aims to offer a new perspective on the interpretation of populism, through dialogues within Ernesto Laclau, Cas Mudde, and Pierre Rosanvallon theories on the subject. At the University of Essex, I have sought to engage in methodological deepening on discourse theory school through my participation in the Centre for Ideology and Discourse Analysis. I am currently a member of the political concepts group at ECPR and part of the research group investigation team on politics and Brazilian thought of the at the University of São Paulo - USP. As a lecturer, I have worked for the last decade as a professor of political theory in the Department of International Relations at São Judas Tadeu University - Brazil.
