Biography
Dr. Muhammad Farooque is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Essex Business School (EBS). He obtained his PhD in Supply Chain Management from the Auckland University of Technology (AUT University), New Zealand, where he was the AUT University-graduate assistantship award recipient. Dr. Farooque’s research works have been published in leading academic journals such as Transportation Research, Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Journal of Cleaner Production, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Resources, Conservation and Recycling, and Sustainable Production and Consumption. His pioneering work on circular supply chain management, i.e., the integration of circular thinking in supply chain management (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2019.04.303) has been well recognized internationally. Dr. Farooque’s current research focuses on sustainable operations and supply chain management, especially on circular supply chain management. He welcomes admission inquiries from prospective PhD and MPhil students.
