Profile

Biography

After completing my Psychology degree at the University of Essex I spent a little bit of time working in various voluntary roles within the field of mental health. In 2014 I completed my Postgraduate Certificate as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) at the University of Essex and worked for many years in the local IAPT service as a qualified PWP. More recently I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire and have been working as a qualified CBT therapist since. I have now started in a new role as a lecturer in the School of Health and Social care for a brand new course (Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner), I am very excited to part of this brand new course and look forward to my role as a lecturer. I will still be working as a self-employed CBT therapist alongside my lecturing role so very pleased that I will still be able to maintain my clinical work. I look forward to developing my career further in my lecturing role.
