Profile
Biography
I started to work for UoE as a Lecturer in French in September 2019. Prior to joining Essex in the Dep. of Language and Linguistics, I have worked for the University of Durham for the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (2012-19). Then, I was a French Lecteur (university language assistant) before progressing on to an Assistant Teaching Fellowship. I was awarded Fellowship of the HEA (AdvanceHE) in 2015, in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for Teaching and Learning Support in Higher Education. I am currently working towards Senior Fellowship of the HEA. My main areas of Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) are as follows: promotion of French language and francophone culture; widening access to University; enhancing (student) learning experience. More specifically to my teaching practice: academic advising; curriculum design and assessment (formative/ summative/ coursework/ exam); Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; DELF/DALF (French examination for language); flipped classroom approach.
