Biography
Faddia H. ALJhany is a Saudi PhD researcher at Essex Business School, specialising in Human Resource Management. Her research explores leadership succession planning in Saudi higher education institutions, focusing on Digital HRM tools and Social Capital to build resilient leadership pipelines in line with Vision 2030. With over 10 years of academic and administrative experience at Umm Al-Qura University, she has held several leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Accounting Department. She is a published author in HRM and organisational development, and has extensive experience as a lecturer and certified trainer in leadership and strategic management. Her research adopts a qualitative methodology, drawing on different theories to explore how digital tools and interpersonal networks influence leadership development and succession planning in Saudi universities. Faddia holds a Bachelor's degree from KAU in Administration and Organisational development, and a Masters degree from the USA in Public Administration and graduate certificate in HRM. She is fluent in Arabic and English, and has also published in journals in the fields of business and economics. She is committed to producing research with practical implications for higher education policy and human capital strategy in the Gulf region.
