One of our patrol officers has received special recognition from Essex Police for his life-saving response to an emergency situation on our campuses.

Adrian Blofield was awarded a Essex Police Chief Constable commendation for his life-saving actions earlier in the year.

Deputy Director (Services) at the University of Essex Tim Morris said, “Adrian showed incredible professionalism and presence of mind in extremely difficult circumstances, their prompt actions in supporting a very vulnerable member of our community ensured a positive outcome to a potentially life-threatening situation.”

Our Security team is patrolling our campus 24/7 to provide unbroken assistance and welfare support to our students, staff and visitors. They also maintain the security of the campus buildings, property, accommodation and grounds.
