More students from the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics in China will be able to progress onto Essex courses after a new agreement was signed.

We’ve been working with Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) since 2008, offering students direct entry to Essex courses after their course at Jiangxi.

A new agreement between Essex and the Modern Economics and Management College at JUFE offers both undergraduate and postgraduate students options to join economics and computational finance courses at Essex.

Professor Katharine Rockett, Head of our Department of Economics, said: “JUFE has been a loyal and high quality partner, and their existing programme has generated some of the best undergraduate students at Essex. We are very proud of their achievements and are thrilled to be able to build on this successful partnership.”

Undergraduates can complete two years at JUFE and then progress into the second year in our Department of Economics. In addition, students who have studied at the Modern Economics and Management College at JUFE will be able to progress onto Master’s level courses in both our Department of Economics and our Centre for Computational Finance and Economic Agents in our School for Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.
