The Maintenance team is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all the University buildings and the general utilities used on campus as well as environmental and energy management.
The team carries out maintenance and repairs using in-house trade's staff, measured-term-contract and specialist-contract labour and ensures the estate is maintained in a safe and compliant condition. The Maintenance Team works within the policies, procedures and legislative frameworks and to generic- and job-specific risk assessments and method statements.
Our trades include electricians, fitters, assistants and plumbers to drainage operatives, surveyors, carpenters, painters, bricklayers and drainage operatives. All trade have the relevant required qualifications and training.
Capital Development team
The Capital Development team carry out the planning, design and supervision of major building contracts for the University, refurbishment projects and room moves, as well as supervision of all health and safety issues for the work of Estate Management as a whole.
