We are delighted to co-host this interactive workshop with the Health Systems Global Gender and Health Thematic Working Group.

Together, we'll explore how intersectionality can be operationalised in health systems and policy research, moving beyond conceptual discussions to practical approaches for research design, implementation and analysis.

Through case studies and interactive discussion, the session will examine common methodological challenges, opportunities for applying intersectionality in practice, and ways to strengthen intersectional scholarship across health systems research.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore practical approaches to operationalising intersectionality in HSPR;
  • critically reflect on methodological choices through real-world case studies; and
  • discuss actionable ideas that can be applied in their own research and practice.
