EBS Alumni Talk Series: Şadiye Işısal

Ms. Şadiye Işısal is the 2025 Social Action National Winner in the Study UK Alumni Awards. She has been the 2024 Peace Ambassador for the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research and the 2023 United Nations Youth Champion for Environment and Peace. She is currently working for UWC Cyprus, one of the high-impact EU-funded grant projects to boost confidence-building measures in Cyprus using education as a force to sustain and build peace among the communities on the island.

About the series

Success isn’t always a straight line, but careful planning and learning through lived experiences can certainly help. As part of our continuous effort to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional reality, Essex Business School (EBS) is launching a termly Talk Series by EBS Alumni.

Every term, we will invite a successful alumnus from a prestigious field to share their transition from student life to an industry professional, elucidate the real-world skills that make people stand out, discuss the ups and downs of their professional life, talk about setbacks and resilience, and, most importantly,  offer the advice they wish they had heard as a student.
