William Wyler’s The Collector (1965) and Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960) are two films featuring eerie gothic houses and handsome but sinister male protagonists with strange obsessions.
With both films celebrating significant anniversaries this year, Dr Dan O'Brien, of the Department of Literature, Film and Theatre Studies, has curated a quietly terrifying double bill at the historic Electric Palace Cinema in Harwich on Saturday 1st November.
Following the screenings, there will be a Q&A with Dr O'Brien.
