Join us for a conversation between renowned filmmaker Theo Panagopoulos and Art Exchange Curator, Jess Twyman.
We'll be focusing on Theo’s short documentary ‘The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing’ (2024), showcased in the exhibition Into the Woods.
The session will expand on the ideas behind his film, Theo’s use and reclamation of archival material, and local and international responses to the film.
Refreshments and snacks will be served.

About Theo Panagopoulos:
Theo Panagopoulos is a Greek-Lebanese-Palestinian filmmaker and PhD researcher based in Scotland. His work explores themes of collective memory, displacement and fragmented identities. The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing had its World Premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2024, and since then won Best Short Film at IDFA and the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and was nominated for a BAFTA award in 2025, amongst others.
