Join us in Wivenhoe Park as we make a life-size tiger!

Using recycled materials, artists Clare and Iris will be making a life-size tiger inspired by William Blake’s famous poem ‘The Tyger’ – and they’re going to need your help!

With support from Art Fund, our workshop is an opportunity to get involved and spark collective action, learning and discussion about climate change.

This workshop is part of a wider project, THE HERDS. From April to August 2025, ever-growing herds of life-size puppet animals will stampede into cities across Africa and Europe to flee climate disaster in a public artwork on a scale never before attempted. Millions of people will follow THE HERDS online and via social media, and participate in special events and performances in person along the 20,000km route, from the Congo Basin to the Arctic Circle.

Free admission and all ages welcome!

Drop in – there’s no need to book. We will be near the lakes – look out for the yellow flags to help find us!

You can also visit our William Blake exhibition, Tyger Tyger! You can get to see Blake's poem ‘The Tyger’. It’s just three minutes away in the Albert Sloman Library.
