Speakers

Dr Camila Almeida Porfiro completed her PhD in Public Law at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2024, focusing on the impact of executive dominance on democracy and human rights, particularly in times of crisis. She also holds a Master's degree in Public Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and served as a law clerk to Justice Luiz Fux at the Brazilian Supreme Court (STF) from 2018 to 2020. She is the author of the forthcoming book "Executive Dominance in Times of Crisis: Governing by Decree and the Pandemic" (Routledge, 2025), as well as "Litígios Estruturais: Legitimidade Democrática, Procedimento e Efetividade" (2nd edition, Lumen Juris, 2024), "Decretos Presidenciais: Limites Constitucionais e Dimensões de Controle" (2nd edition, Lumen Juris, 2024) and "Governando por Decreto: A Atividade Legislativa do Poder Executivo em Tempos de Crise" (Arraes, 2024)
