Abstract

Distinct from the immutable nature of genetics, epigenetic modifications, such as DNA methylation, exhibit dynamic changes in response to lifestyle modifications and possibly treatments such as young plasma transfusions and omega-3 supplementation. Compelling research in rodent models provides robust evidence that targeted interventions can significantly restore the youthful state of the methylome across various organs, suggesting a promising avenue for reversing age-related epigenetic alterations in humans.
