Your department induction is an essential part of Welcome Week. The Essex Business School are running a range of events throughout January Welcome Week 2024.

Come and find out more about your course and meet key members of staff and people you are going to be studying with.

Your Welcome Week will be a great opportunity to meet some key members of staff and give you the chance to speak with some of your fellow students who will be studying on your course with you.

We expect you to attend as you will receive important information to help you start your university experience.

This is in addition to your timetabled compulsory Pre-Sessional Teaching.

More information about your induction will be sent to your Essex email nearer the time. Remember to check this regularly for dates, times, and further details.

Tuesday 9 January - Meet in the EBS Foyer

Time: 13:00

Location: Meet in the EBS Foyer

Get to know your new home with a tour of Essex Business School.

Wednesday 10 January - Getting started with EBS

Time: 13:00

Location: EBS Trading Floor

Bring your laptop and let us help you navigate the online systems you will be using whilst studying at Essex Business School.

Each session is 30 minutes long with time afterwards for questions and will be run by our knowledgeable Student Services Advisors.

Thursday 11 January - Dean's Welcome to Essex Business School and Programme Induction

Time: 10:00-11:30

Location: EBS.2.34

Professor Claudia Girardone will be delivering a welcome address, which will be followed by the Programme Induction. Meet your fellow students and academics.

Thursday 11 January - Essex Business School Lunch and Social

Time: 13:00-15:00

Location: EBS Foyer

Come along and spend the afternoon with your fellow EBS Students and Staff in the EBS Foyer. Food will be served, and we will have a professional photographer available to take photos for your LinkedIn profile.
