There are many preconceived ideas people have about what freelancing means. This workshop will look at all of those ideas and explain in detail what you can expect to see when working as a freelancer.

We will also discuss how to set up as a freelancer, how this may differ from other types of companies (i.e. LTD), as well as discussing other practical caveats around freelance work.

If you have a set of skills you want to monetise and want more freedom for yourself and your business, then freelancing is the thing for you!

Join us as we start with why and continue into the how, when, and where. Who are your customers? What is your competition like? How do you reach your market? We’ll discuss various aspects from personal branding, to marketing, to all the legal stuff, with some handy tips for attracting clients too!

This event is open to current students and alumni who have graduated within the last five years.
