The aims of this workshop series are to: 1) increase ECR knowledge and awareness of the current funding landscape; 2) develop grant writing skills for ECRs; 3) produce draft grant proposals and; 4) foster a supportive research environment for ECRs.
The workshops will provide ECRs with the opportunity to develop and enhance their grant writing skills. Prior to the workshop participants will be asked to identify specific areas for individual skills development, as well as share areas in which they would be able to support the skills development of others. The workshop programme will be a combination of peer-to-peer learning and skill sharing and we will also invite additional experts from within the University to contribute to this workshop. This will include members of the REO and members of staff with significant experience of grant capture and knowledge of the funding landscape.
All participants will be encouraged to identify a specific project which they wish to develop a grant proposal for, and will work on this throughout the workshop series to aim to have a draft proposal completed by the end of July.
Three in-person workshops will be held:
- 25 May 2pm to 5pm
- 21 June 9am to 12pm
- 20 July 9am to 12pm
Participants are encouraged to attend all workshops. For more information and to register for the workshops please email Colin Reilly.
