Connection Café: Sewing and Upcycling

Join Residence Life in the Art Exchange for Sewing and Upcycling!

The Art Exchange is a great place to spend a lunch break, bring your friends, or meet someone new. Some of our Residents' Assistants will also be around to chat with if you needed any information or advice.

These are weekly sessions on Wednesday from 12 - 3pm in the Art Exchange and are FREE of charge. All materials supplied so just turn up to have a go any time whilst we're open.

This week bring along any of your clothes in need of a new lease of life.

Artists Tom and Iris will show you how to breathe new life into your favourite sweatshirt, fix a tear in your jeans with visible mending and hide that stain on your jumper under embroidery. We’re also making a communal patchwork quilt if you just want to chill and make a contribution.

Sewing and upcycling is a great way to save money and help the planet by slowing down on spending.

We also have the standard offer of arts and crafts supplies such as watercolour painting, colouring, and knitting and crochet supplies.
