In this seminar, Dimitri Svistunenko will start with the basic principles of the Electron Paramagnetic Resonance phenomenon, he will then give an overview the methods and techniques that evolved over the last 80 years from exploring the phenomenon and will describe the modest part of that variety available at Essex.
Dimitri will then present the key directions of research we conduct: protein bound free radicals and fast reactions with paramagnetic short lived intermediates.
Dr Dimitri Svistunenko is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Life Sciences, University of Essex, and head of the Protein Structure and Mechanisms of Disease research group.
This seminar is being held in person in STEM 3.1 (STEM Centre on Square 1, Colchester campus). You can also watch via Zoom (meeting ID: 916 2270 2239)
