Reclaiming Morality

A series of studies based on ‘Morality’ by Jonathan Sacks

Jonathan Sacks (well known for his TV and radio appearances) published his book, Morality, just before his death in 2020. We shall explore his belief that society must have a moral compass.

Sack’s book, Morality, raises many questions about morality in social life.

Has the West lost its moral compass? What were the historical events which affected our thinking? Does morality need a religious base? How can we regain a moral sense in a postmodern world?

Open to all members of the university, this study aims to help students of all faiths, or none to explore the basis of their moral decisions.
Sessions will be held weekly from Monday 17 October to Monday 5 December 2022.
