Essex Babylab invites parents with babies, parents-to-be, and anyone interested in baby development to monthly Coffee Mornings where we share research insights and practical tips to facilitate positive baby development.

Many parents often feel that they need to read parenting textbooks and follow specific rules to be good parents. We want to help them recognise that they have all it takes to be the real experts of their own baby. By sharing science-based information and up-to-date research discoveries, we aim to show that there's no clear 'manual' to follow during your journey into parenthood.

Each month, our Coffee Mornings will feature a specific theme. This month we will be talking about pregnancy and the challenges associated with transitioning to parenthood.

We will be joined by our own Dr Silvia Rigato who will give us insights from the latest research. The workshop will be run by Dr Kaili Clackson and Dr Tessel Bazelmans from Babybrains, a start-up that brings science-based empowerment to the community to support families from pregnancy to parenthood. They will tell us about the changes that expectant mums go through during pregnancy, and give us practical tips to ensure women can be best supported during this important time in their lives.

Come and join us for a morning of science-based information, empowering tips, peer support, and free coffee/tea!

Babies and children are most welcome to come and play. We also stream the event on Zoom so you can also join us virtually from the comfort of your home!
