Join Boobette Tamsin Wood from Coppafeel for this online awareness course on Zoom.

Boobettes are a group of volunteers who have been diagnosed with breast cancer under the age of 35, have had preventative surgery, a breast cancer scare at a young age or a strong connection to the disease. Using their stories, they inspire others to think differently about their lives and bodies, educating people about the importance of getting to know your normal now, and making it a lifelong habit.

The presentation covers the host’s personal story of how they were affected by breast cancer, the charities founder’s story, breast cancer facts and myths, signs and symptoms and guidance on how to self-check.

All students must complete a Boobette Booking Agreement:

  • Meeting ID: 850 9625 9485
  • Password: 807760

Coppafeel is a breast cancer awareness charity, based in London, which focuses on promoting early detection of breast cancer by encouraging women under 30 to regularly check their breasts.

16 Days of Action Against Domestic Violence is aimed at organisations to support them to take action against domestic abuse and violence.

At the University of Essex, we really want our community to feel safe so as part of this campaign we have invited local organisations to join us. As part of a Future Leaders programme we have planned 16 days of activities across all campuses.
