In this session we explore different types of learning environment and consider how to prepare for them, including a guide on people that students are likely to encounter at the university.

Find out about what financial support is available for undergraduate students. The webinar will explore loans available from Student Finance England, scholarships and bursaries available from Essex and specific information for students who are mature, estranged, care leavers and those with dependents.

Wednesday 28 July at 5pm - Skills for Success
Studying at university is an exciting prospect but can initially appear to be rather daunting too. Becoming familiar with university study settings can prepare you for success without stress. The purpose of these sessions is to demonstrate how academic study is about preparation for, participation in, and contribution to academic discussion. Attending these sessions using a iPad, laptop or computer is preferable as you will be accessing the internet.
The session will look at how to access and use e-learning technologies as a reading-to-writing process for various genres of assignment writing.
Thursday 29 July at 5pm - Student Experience
A chance to talk to current students about their studies and life on campus. Pick up some top tips on returning to education and helpful information on matters such as employability, childcare, commuting and the Essex mature learners community.
