In Conversation is an annual event organised by the Centre for Public History, Department of History, University of Essex.

Join us for an evening with Paul Goodwin, University of the Arts London (UAL), in conversation with Jessica Twyman, Arts and Gallery Director, Art Exchange, chaired by Lucy Noakes, Department of History.

Paul Goodwin will introduce his work and be in conversation with Jessica Twyman, before answering questions from the audience.

Paul is a curator and researcher who co-curated the exhibition We Will Walk- Art and Resistance in the American South with the artist Hannah Collins at Turner Contemporary, Margate.

Goodwin, who is currently Professor of Contemporary Art and Urbanisation at University of the Arts, London, was previously Curator at Tate Britain, where he directed the pioneering Cross Cultural Programme, a multi-disciplinary platform dedicated to exploring the impact of globalization and migration on contemporary art in the United Kingdom.
