Environment Week 2021 - How to help hedgehogs

Hedgehogs are now vulnerable to extinction in Britain. Join Hedgehog Friendly Campus to find out why this is and how you can help from home.

As part of the University of Essex Environment Week 2021. The team are hosting a talk with Jo from Hedgehog Friendly campus.

Hedgehog numbers in the UK have declined by up to half since the year 2000. It is now estimated that there are fewer than 1 million left. The University of Essex is a Hedgehog Friendly Campus which means it is a space for hedgehogs to thrive. However, we would like to work on making the local area a space for hedgehogs too.

This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people. You will learn skills such as:

Knowledge on Biodiversity.

Experience working alongside the Sustainability Team.

The event is taking place Wednesday 17 March 2021 between 4.00pm - 5.00pm.
