All Residence Life programmes are open to both on and off campus students from any location – no booking needed, just log on and join the event at the start time.

Come along to our Mindful Meditation event where our RA will be explaining techniques for meditation such as mindfulness and focusing the mind to achieve a mentally clear, emotionally calm, and stable state. The RA will demonstrate each of these techniques and then will ask the attendees to follow the steps with him. Hosted by RA Adedapo (Southend).

Try something new in lockdown! This programme will give you a chance to talk about and sample some popular lockdown activities like yoga, meditation, and practising self-care. It’s a good opportunity for an informal chat about the different lockdown activities people are giving a go, whether that’s discovering a new podcast, trying new recipes, or virtual dating! You can share your experiences of how you stay entertained during lockdown as well as find out more about looking after your wellbeing.

Take your mind off your studies and try something new – Yogafit. Join Essex Sports Yoga with an RA to guide you through the session. The RA will provide some additional guided stretching, plus discussion on students balancing studies and their wellbeing. Hosted by RA Ashley (North Houses).
