Our Essex Abroad fair has gone online for 2020 and will take place remotely during International Education Week.
We’ve got an action packed two days planned with sessions throughout both days.
Wednesday 18 November – Focus on study abroad
During Wednesday the Essex Abroad team will host sessions which cover general guidance about studying abroad with plenty of time to ask questions.
The rest of the day will be dedicated to destination specific sessions hosted by our Essex Abroad peer mentors and our Incoming Exchange students.
During our destination sessions you will be able to find out more about what it is like to live and study in that specific destination and ask questions directly to our students who have just returned from their study abroad year.
These sessions are suitable for first and second year undergraduates who are interested in studying abroad for a year or a term.
Register now for sessions! All sessions will be delivered via Zoom.
Thursday 19 November – Focus on short term / summer programmes
If you're interested in volunteering abroad, studying at a summer school abroad, completing an international internship or completing research abroad then this is the day for you!
These programmes are open to all students of all levels.
During the day the Essex Abroad team will host sessions to cover general guidance about our summer abroad programmes with plenty of time for questions. We will also have sessions advising on funding and how gaining an international experience can boost your employability.
The rest of the day is then dedicated to sessions run by our volunteer, summer school and internship partners who will talk you through their programmes and give you real insight into what they can offer.
Some sessions are repeated throughout the day to allow you to attend as much as possible!
Register now for sessions! Please note – whilst most sessions will be delivered via Zoom, some providers are using different platforms – please check the registration for more information.
