This talk is to introduce two emerging techniques for 6G, namely non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS).

More particularly, Dr Yuanwei Liu will focus on four aspects: 1) present performance evaluation of NOMA-RIS systems with considering the spatial effect; 2) introduce beamforming design and resource management in NOMA-RIS networks; 3) investigate the deployment of RIS on NOMA networks; 4) exploit the applications of machine learning to NOMA-RIS networks.

Dr Liu will summarise recent results and discuss possible future research opportunities for RIS and NOMA.

Speaker

Dr Yuanwei Liu is a Lecturer in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London.
