Translation, Interpreting & Subtitling

This free online course comprises daily sessions, specifically designed to introduce you to some of the most diverse practices within the fields of translation, interpreting & subtitling today.

Each two hour session will be delivered by our expert practitioners, giving you the chance to meet the tutors, ask questions and discover what studying translation, interpreting or subtitling at postgraduate level is really like.

You can pick and choose which sessions to attend from the week-long schedule:

An Introduction to Translation and Interpreting with Lexa Olivera-Smith and Chantel Dan Chen

Introduction to Audiovisual Translation and Subtitling with Lexa Olivera-Smith and Antonia Yanxi Wu
Tuesday 7th July 12pm - 2pm

Principles and Technologies of Translation with Dr Laetitia Vedrenne and Ignazia Posadinu
Wednesday 8th July 12pm - 2pm

Grammar and Pragmatics for Translation with Dounia Bissar and Dr Beatriz De Paiva
Thursday 9th July 12pm - 2pm

Introduction to Interpreting and Q&A with Chantel Dan Chen, Li Li, Ignazia Posadinu and Claudia Alsdorf
Friday 10th July 12pm - 2pm
