Green Impact

Green Impact is an environmental accreditation programme run with support from the SOS-UK. It brings staff and students in the department together in a team and provides them with a tangible framework to make their department more sustainable. The teams must complete online workbooks documenting their actions.

Green Impact Auditor

We are looking for volunteer auditors to check Green Impact teams workbooks and conduct audits. Each auditor receives training on the skills and content of auditing required. Auditors then complete assigned audits, putting their newly developed skills into practice. An audit takes between one and two hours to complete depending on the size of the department.

The role provides:

  • experience and skills associated with auditing, through training approved by the IEMA
  • opportunity to make a positive impact to the local community
  • opportunity to enhance employability skills and CV
  • enhanced knowledge of sustainability issues

This training will be led by SOS UK Green Impact Project Officer Grace Corn and the Sustainability Team. The training will run on 29 April 2020 between 10 – 1. The training will take place via zoom so you can complete it from the comfort of your own home.
