Be inspired by The Bard
Let our inspiring workshops and performances break down the barriers that prevent students from connecting with Shakespeare.
Bring your Year 10 students to our Colchester campus for a range of practical workshops and performances, linked to their National Curriculum study and further careers.
The Shakespeare Project will encourage your students to think beyond the words on the page or actions on the stage. With insightful and thought-provoking sessions provided by our academics and a range of external providers, your students will begin to understand the context of Shakespeare’s work, its relevance both then and now, and its enduring impact on us today.
Your students will leave us engaged and inspired, having experienced aspects of these great works beyond the requirements of an exam syllabus.
Schools will need to arrive from 9:30am for a 10am start, and will be free to leave from approx. 2:30pm.
Bookings can be made via our Online Booking Form. Once your booking is complete, one of our team will be in contact to confirm your school’s place on The Shakespeare Project.
If you are an external provider who is interested in providing a workshop or a stand in our marketplace, please email theshakespeareproject@essex.ac.uk
