Competition is central to modern life. We compete with siblings, friends, colleagues, and strangers, for things we need or desire, in markets, sports, the arts and the sciences. Our competitiveness can motivate us to achieve excellence in our pursuits but also to do our worst. Professor Jütten will explore some of the ethical norms that should govern different forms of competition.
Lecture starts at 6pm followed by a drinks reception from 7.15pm.
The event is free and open to all, please reserve a seat via the Lakeside Theatre webpage.
