Coming to live - and study - in a new country can be an intimidating experience.

Whether it is getting used to a different sort of study, different customs and ways of living, or just working out how to do your daily shopping, there is a huge number of challenges to be faced.  But living somewhere new is also hugely exciting - and should be a lot of fun as well!

This workshop offers you the chance to learn a bit more about the UK, its culture, and what it means to study here.  We will look at some stereotypes about Britain and the British and explore some practical tips that can help you settle into life at Essex University.

You will also have the chance to meet other people who are in the same position as you, and make some new friends.
