Collaborating with universities: marriage made in heaven?

Partnerships can unlock a number of benefits to both partners that may improve outcomes for the local communities. As each organisation has different goals, partnerships may generate risks to each organisation that need to be mitigated. The session will present the work conducted by a team of researchers based at the University of Essex with Suffolk County Council on assessing risks for vulnerable members of the community and presents insights into how and when working with universities is beneficial to councils.
