Event

A public show of solidarity and support demonstrating our support for our Jewish students and staff

You are invited to our public solidarity event taking place on our Colchester Campus this Thursday.

The event is a chance for our community to join together in solidarity and support of our Jewish students and staff - and to underline the fact that we do not and will not accept any form of antisemitism on our campuses.

The University of Essex is a place where you find the world in one place and where all our members are free to live authentically and honestly and without fear of hatred or harassment.

Our event will see a number of speakers, including our Vice-Chancellor Professor Anthony Forster and our Students’ Union President Tancrede Chartier; they will talk about our values and our commitment to being a place that is welcoming and supportive to all.

If you're attending by car there will be parking reserved in Valley Car Park, accessed by the Wivenhoe entrance to the Colchester Campus. There will be no parking charges in this designated area.

This event will not be live streamed but students and staff from our Southend and Loughton campuses that would like to attend may have their travel expenses reimbursed.

We hope as many of our community as possible will join us in taking this stand in support of our Jewish members.
