In this talk Dr Fadi El-Moussa will discuss “Active Security Detection & Response”. Based on BT Intelligent Protection, ASDR offers automatic malware detection and protection in the IoT and Cloud environment areas such as; offering security service to enterprise IoT devices, gateway security for the home network, and attack graph using malware behaviour modelling.

In each of these areas Dr El-Moussa will go through the current challenges, discuss how BT Intelligent Protection addresses them, and look at the next steps in the research road map to improve solutions and provide better detection of new threats. Dr. Fadi El-Moussa is a Malware Security Research Manager at the Security Futures practice at BT Research and Innovation with 12 years’ experience in environments where research meets business. He has experience in cyber security, malware detection and prevention, intrusion prevention, Smart Device security, risk assessment, visual analytics, vulnerability analysis, and Network Security.

Fadi has been the technical development lead for the BT Intelligent Protection service since the introduction of the capability in BT which has been used across BT for Malware Detection / Prevention. He has received numerous Global Awards for the Security Solutions used in BT and has a substantial amount of patents and publication in the area of cyber Security.
