This is a conference aimed at raising awareness of modern day slavery in the region and explaining the key issues. Speakers include

  • Kathy Betteridge from the Salvation Army on The Modern Slavery Act and the National Referral Mechanism
  • Fatema Islam on the social work experience of working with migrants and refugees, including survivors of modern slavery
  • Rev Dr Dan Pratt, co-ordinator of the Southend Against Modern Slavery Partnership
