The Philosophy and Art History Research Seminar meets weekly in term on Thursday afternoons to discuss a paper by a visiting philosopher, art historian, or a member of our academic staff.

This week's speaker is Dr William Schaefer, University of Durham.

Dr William Schaefer's research centers around Chinese visual and literary culture within a global context from the mid-19th century to the present, connecting photography, film, and media studies, comparative literature, the geography of culture, philosophies of nature, and the environmental humanities.

The seminar will be followed by informal drinks at Top Bar and a meal.
