On Tuesday 20 November 2018, 2-5pm, in the Lakeview room (Colchester Campus), the Faculty of Humanities will host a workshop on Practice-as-Research.

This event aims to further colleagues’ understanding of Practice-as Research (PaR), including how to carry out PaR, what makes a good PaR submission to REF, and how to generate impact around PaR. We will hear from external speakers John Adams (Professor Emeritus, Film & Screen Media Practice, Bristol University) and Dr Joanne Scott (co-convenor, PaR Centre of Excellence, University of Salford). This will be an informal workshop with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. If you intend to submit a PaR output to REF, or are just interested in developing outputs that might move beyond traditional publication formats, this workshop should be very useful.

It is open to all, but please confirm attendance by emailing us with the subject header ‘PaR Workshop, 20 November’ by 16 November 2018.

Please note this event has changed from room 4N.2.3 to the Lakeview room.
