Please join the School of Law, Human Rights Centre and the Society of Legal Scholars in welcoming Lady Hale, President of the Supreme Court in giving the SLS Centenary Lecture here at our Colchester Campus.

The Society of Legal Scholars, which was founded in 1908, is the foremost learned society for university law teachers in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It currently has over 3000 members. It will shortly be celebrating its 110th anniversary.

The Centenary Lecture Series was inaugurated ten years ago to celebrate the centenary. Distinguished speakers have presented the annual lecture at various universities throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The Society is delighted that the University of Essex is hosting the 2018 lecture and that they have engaged the President of the Supreme Court, Lady Hale as speaker.

We hope that you are able to join us to hear Lady Hale in what promises to be a stimulating lecture.
