We live in a rapidly changing world in which organisations are constantly shaped and altered. Organisations influence their members knowingly and unknowingly with their cultures, assumptions, values and expectations.
At the same time there has been much talk of 'fake news' and 'fakery'. In these turbulent times, it is also important to understand the part we play in influencing organisations and society.
This residential conference is based on the principle of learning from experience in the 'here and now', and the belief that change in organisations requires exploration of unconscious as well as conscious processes.
Outcomes
The conference will help you understand the masks we wear and the myths and fears we perpetuate and develop in groups, which can stifle authenticity and our desire to work together.Participants
The conference is suitable for all who are interested in developing their understanding of group and organisational life. In particular, practitioners, and service leads in human service organisations.
£775 (a discounted rate of £650 is available to University of Essex students).
The fee includes accommodation and all meals throughout the conference. An 'early bird' discount of £50 is applicable if registering before 15 January 2018.
The conference will include a training group for people who have previously been members of Group Relations Conferences - fee £875.
