Start your research career with a BOOM. In this course you’ll learn tips and tricks to making your research more visible and creating more citations.

We’ll give you advice based on empirical evidence and case studies with examples of good and bad practice so you’ll know exactly how to navigate in the world of publishing. You will improve not only your citations and future collaboration, but you'll also make yourself more desirable in funding or job applications.

By the end of this course you will:

  • Be able to write a good title and be aware of some tricks than can improve the visibility of your research.
  • Know how to find a good journal to publish in. 
  • Know how you can manage your online identity as a researcher, so you can prevent author and citation mistakes in bibliometric databases.
  • Understand how networking can help your research get more citations.
