Welcome to this month’s Sustainability spotlight

Here are our latest sustainability news updates:

Peoples Choice award

The voting for this year’s People’s Choice Top 10 is now open and will remain so for the whole of October. (Voting will close at 5pm on 31st October) Vote for our beautiful Wivenhoe Park here.

The sustainability champion of the month is: Mike Warren

During Welcome Week, Mike who is part of our wonderful grounds team, was at the Travel and Facilities team gazebo. He provided valuable advice to students about the indoor houseplants being handed out and helped promote upcoming bulb planting events. He also raised awareness of the monthly tree walks which are also organised by our Grounds team.

Mike said: ‘I am very privileged to be doing a job I love . Being outside amongst plants nature and wildlife is so good for the soul and mental health which first lead me to this role . I'm passionate about giving something back to others.’

To book a place on the next tree walk, please sign up via HR Organiser.
