Tributes to Her Majesty The Queen

Her Majesty The Queen holds a special place in the University’s heart, having visited our Colchester Campus at two key dates in our history and bestowed recognition on the University throughout her reign.

The sad news of her death has prompted us to reflect on the impact she and her reign has had on our University community.

We also have books of condolence for you to sign. These are located in our Silberrad Student Centre foyer (Colchester Campus), Gateway Building Reception (Southend Campus) and Main Reception (Loughton Campus).

If you wish to leave flowers in memory of The Queen we have cordoned off an area between squares 4 and 5 on our Colchester Campus, under the plaque which Her Majesty so kindly unveiled on her visit in 2004 to mark our 40th anniversary.

In honour of Her Late Majesty we will be holding a Memorial Event to reflect on her service and dedication to the United Kingdom throughout her life.
