We’ll all remember 2020, but we want you to remember it as the year you landed your first graduate job or postgraduate course. Whether you’re still planning your next steps, applying for roles in your chosen industry or are feeling a bit overwhelmed by the graduate world, Essex is here for you, for life.

To kickstart this support, we’ve gathered everything you need to make the move from graduate to professional life in one place. We know everything you’ve tackled this summer has been unusual and new, so we figured a bit of familiarity might be welcome; we’ve created a MoodleX course for you to access everything you need.

MoodleX is the public version of the Moodle platform you used for course content and resources at Essex. Now you’re a graduate you’ll need to register for a MoodleX account but this just takes a moment and you don’t need to remember any of your Essex credentials to do so. Once you’ve done this, the resources can all be accessed via the Generation Essex 2020 course, simply enter the passcode GenEssex2020 and get exploring. Simple.

These wise words and more are all available on the Expectations Vs Reality recorded presentation.

Final Year, Future Focused was the webinar series to train you to plan your career, search for a role, secure it and start in the new virtual workplace that we find ourselves in. Alongside this, we’ve included quick links to all the resources you accessed as a student on CareerHub and CareerHub+. So if you need to brush up on your CV writing skills or you’ve secured an interview but don’t know the STAR technique for answering questions, we’ve got quick resources, top tips and training exercises to support you to be the best candidate.

For the latest news on the current graduate recruitment market we’ve included links and information on the #StillHiring campaign and quick links to graduate internships, roles and experience opportunities from hundreds of employers who want your expertise.
