Lakeside Theatre

The Lakeside Theatre is the place to be for performance. Home to a 200-seat main stage and an intimate studio space, the Lakeside Theatre presents an eclectic and exciting programme of events, including touring fringe theatre, live screenings from the National Theatre, and student productions.

The Lakeside Theatre have a theatre for all ethos through their Homegrown programme, so you don’t have to be studying drama or acting to get on stage! Got an idea for a script, show or performance? Apply for Homegrown and the Lakeside Theatre team will help you bring your production to life!

Anyone can take to the mic at one of the Lakeside Theatre’s monthly scratch nights. These open mic style scratch nights take place in the Lakeside Theatre Café. We’re a friendly and supportive crowd so why not take to the stage and give it a go? Musicians, singers, poets, performers – the stage is yours.

Speaking of the Café, it’s the perfect place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, meet friends or take some study time. We’re open Monday – Friday during term time. Pop in for a slice of cake or two!
