Disabled staff parking

Blue Badge holders

If you are a blue badge holder, you will have to pay the registration fee (0.28% of your salary), but not the annual or daily parking charge. You will need to provide a photograph of your Blue Badge to the Estates and Facilities Helpdesk so this information can be added to your parking permit.

For those who may need to be closer to central campus you can also apply to get a referral from Occupational Services. If eligible you will then be allocated one of our designated bays under podia (subject to availability). Please bear in mind these spaces are extremely limited and can only be offered on a first come first serve basis. You will need to have prior authorisation before parking.

Blue Badge holders must display their Blue Badge clearly in their windscreen when parking on campus.

Non-Blue Badge holders

If you're not a Blue Badge holder, but have may benefit from using a disabled parking space please contact Occupational Health Services or queries about disabled parking, contact the Estates and Facilities Helpdesk by emailing ems-helpdesk@essex.ac.uk
