Recruitment timelines

To ensure that we deliver excellent customer service, the following timelines are in place. Please contact the Resourcing Adviser to discuss timelines as soon as you are aware that you have a vacancy. Vacancy advertising

Please allow five working days from the Resourcing Team receiving full documentation (funding approval and complete job pack template) via the e-Recruitment system (iTrent) to your post being advertised.

Advertising period

Professional Services posts should be advertised for a minimum of two weeks. For any post that we may be able to offer a Certificate of Sponsorship on, the Home Office require the post to be advertised for a minimum of 28 days.

Shortlisting grids

Once shortlisting has taken place, the hiring manager should upload the shortlisting grid to the
e-recruitment system (iTrent). For Professional Services posts, please upload the shortlisting grid once you have sent out your invitations to interview. The resourcing team will then contact the unsuccessful candidates on your behalf. For academic posts, please upload the grid 12 working days prior to the interview date.
