Profile

Biography

I am an Occupational Therapist who lectures in clinical leadership and professional practice. I have recently left the NHS where I was a clinical leader for 20 years. I am interested in how healthcare professionals lead services and their style of leadership. I am particularly curious about coaching style of leadership as well as it's application to clinical & educational roles. I continue to support a regional NHS coaching network that aims to facilitate personal and professional development of clinical staff. I am currently the Director of Practice Partnerships at the School of Health and Social Care. This role allows me to utilise my knowledge of clinical practice whilst supporting the School's practice-based learning for all the programmes. Additionally, I can support the School's strategy to work collaboratively with partners across Suffolk & Essex, with the aim of improving the quality of placements, expanding the numbers available and creating innovative placements.
